"Sold out" was founded in 2001 by Moritz Thomann"Soldout" was founded in 2001 by Moritz Thomann, Paul Thomann and Florian Herbst. Some time later, David Echelle, joined the band as lead singer. In the early years the band played a lot of shows as a Red hot chili peppers tribute band, but after some time, the first own songs were written. In 2002 the band recorded its first EP at Zentralstudio Mainz, in 2004 the first full time record "Rock against the machine" followed. In September 2006 the band released their second self-produced LP "Phantasma et Idolon"
