I wandered into a new store, It was selling all kinds of tools, Most of the customers seemed to be men, They were acting like a bunch of fools, Their ears were glued to their cell phones , As they tried to convince their wives, That a super adjustable long handled wrench Would really improve their lives. Chorus My good wench let me buy that wrench And the hammer and the saw and the drill, They're so cheep honey and we have the money I'll build you a house on the hill There was one really eloquent fellow, I remember just what he said "I promise that it won't get rusty Like the other tools out in the shed, All of those household projects Will now be a led pipe synch, I can do every thing that I promised If you'll only let me get this wrench. There was another pleading husband He looked a little lightning struck. Caught up in some special rapture Like a boy with a new toy truck You can have the pet bird that you wanted A parrot a macaw or a finch,, I'll even be kind to your mother, If you only let me have this wrench. Some ladies will be taken out to dinner, Others will get special treats, Jewelry or maybe flowers, Chocolate or some other sweets, The husbands will go out to the workshop And stand at the old work bench And wonder what to do with that super adjustable Brand new long handled wrench.
