Melodic stoner-doom-goth-prog-metal. Oh, and some punk too...
Fay Wray started out way back in about 2000 as a pop-punk band named FOA. Over the years it evolved into Fay Wray and settled on a heavily Sabbath-influenced sound in about 2002. On a journey that has spanned 5 years, 2 EPs, and now an album, it has evolved further into a melodic-stoner-doom-prog-metal monster with a black and white retro aesthetic and songs about clockwork robots and alien children.

Story behind the song
It's just about how you can not care what other people think until it's someone you really care about...
Lyrics
Critics say I've burning blood in my veins And the heart and lips of a child Critics say words that I don't care for Until you say the same Critics say I think too much I panic and conclude Critics say I'm not so broken As I'd like to think I am Your hands My throat Your fears I know Your hands My throat Your hands Don't let go Critics say I have myself divided And I err too much on the wrong side Critics say I walk so strange A step off-centre Critics say and critics kiss Critics hit and critics miss Critics say and critics write Critics are your tongue tonight Your hands My throat Your hands I know Your hands My throat Your fears Let's go Critics say in simple terms List of instructions shot out in words Columised and printed out A critic's word is never in doubt You say in simple terms List of changes shot out in words Theorised and all set out Pushing to remove self-doubt
