Stripwired is the brainchild of guitarist Mike Mroz and vocalist Darren Caperna, who in 2007 released 11 blistering tracks on their self-titled CD, which was well-received by both fans and critics.
After Caperna's 2016 audition with AC/DC (as a possible replacement for Brian Johnson), and Mroz's introduction to Angus Young, the pair were once again inspired to write new original material. The album, slated to be released at the beginning of 2019, will be available digitally online, on CD, and vinyl. The band has been revitalized by the strength of their current line-up, featuring Ken Schiumo (Drums), Sheldon Conrad (Bass), and Ramiro Noriega (Guitar).
