Ace of Spades was born in 1990. Creating a massive tonal earthquakes in Manila's underground scene. It's sheer virtuosity and deep melodic attack that made Ace of Spades one of a kind. Black Sabbath is primarily the bands influence. Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, DIO have also tremendously influenced the band. The songs are Neo-Classical with intense melodic choruses with straight forward lyrics. Eventually, they had made a following and earned the respect and admiration of other musicians from the mainstream and underground scene. They gained honor and prestige by winning the Band Wars in 1994, besting numerous bands from different parts of the country by accumulating most of the top awards.
