an introduction to abode's little world. the foreman stands eager at the gates, awaiting your arrival. punch-clocks, lunchboxes, and illegible blueprints.
acoustic folk drake hush
melodic acoustic hush folk
hey i'm abode, i'm 27 and write acoustic hush folk - inspired by the likes of 70's folk artists like nick drake, leonard cohen, simon and garfunkel, roy harper etc - with modern influences such as stina nordenstam, elliott smith, and air to name a few... thanks for listening it's much appreciated.

Story behind the song
sometimes the only thing I feel successful at - is shutting other people out. board up the windows, close the gates, and turn out the lights. this song was frustrating to record until i realized that i was playing it way to low for me to possibly sing, so i capo'd higher and all was well (sort of)...
Lyrics
there are no peepholes so please don't try to look in and i wouldn't count on an end to where the surface begins. there are no cracks so don't hope for a leak or mini fractures that make the structure weak i've manufactured this through time and solitude i engineered an ugliness of unbelievable magnitude. this is my factory, it pollutes quite heavily darkens any sky, no wonder no one passes by. from stacks reached in the air comes nothing that's clear and the gears behind the walls show no signs of slowing at all. there are no angles to gain the upperhand or any descriptions to help you understand there is no lock to a wall that has no door or reason to find what you're hoping for i manufactured this through time and solitude i engineered an ugliness of unbelievable magnitude. this is my factory, it pollutes quite heavily darkens any sky, no wonder no one passes by from stacks reached in the air comes nothing that's clear and the gears behind the walls show no signs of slowing at all. i'll run this factory into the ground. (yea) i'll run this factory even when i'm the last one around.
