Story behind the song
What if music can mend broken hearts, stop war, and lead us to God!
Lyrics
SOMEWHERE THERE’S A SONG Somewhere there’s a song To mend broken hearts. The melody’s there, Floating in the air, Waiting for a lover To soon discover That today’s sorrow Can end tomorrow. If we sing along, Sweet harmony starts. Somewhere there’s a song To mend broken hearts. Somewhere there’s a song That can stop all war. The melody’s there, Hanging in the air, Waiting for a voice To make the clear choice - A voice of pure peace To make hatred cease. If we sing along, They’ll put down the sword. Somewhere there’s a song That can stop all war. Somewhere there’s a song To lead us to God. The melody’s there, Sparkling in the air, Waiting for the meek To stand up and seek That one golden verse That can break this curse. If we sing along, Angels will applaud. Somewhere there’s a song To lead us to God. Copyright © 2007 Lex Zaleta
