An ode to my brothers and sisters in Haiti.
Once the jewel of the Caribbean, the island has been plundered from within and from without. These Christians have a faith that goes beyond anything I could ever hope for.
Story behind the song
Written after my first trip to Haiti in 1996. We were greeted at the airport by a ragtag band of musicians playing for tips.
The people of Haiti have something that can't be taken away. Faith in an Almighty ever loving God despite their outward circumstances.
