J-Bizzle hooked us up with this hot beat and we went crazy on the track. This is a song where we reflect on how far we've come and look forward to the future of Nerds While AZN. It's very nostalgic.

Nerds While AZN (NWA) was originally an idea thrown around as a joke, something that would never fully become a reality. However, thanks to a little ingenuity, a few instrumentals, and two or three microphones, NWA became a reality on September 15, 2004, with the track "NWA Anthem," a song that shocked the hell out of everybody who originally expected something sucky (only to receive something godly). Originally, NWA was planned as starring Jeff King (DMK), Jun Xiang (Jam Master Jun), and an unnamed third party who has since been incarcerated for selling bootleg textbooks (we love you, Zhen). Jeremy Blum (Blummer) ended up taking the reigns as the third member of the group, however, mainly because he was the only one at the time who knew how to put the tracks together. In the end, Nerds While AZN transformed into much more than a simple joke and quickly became a serious undertaking. The group has gone on to release track after track, combining inspirational raps about everyday life with hard-hitting beats, occasionally with guest appearances from anyone who wants to jump in. Nerds While AZN is: DMK (Jeff King) Long regarded as an inspiring example of innate goodness, as well as the originator of the intense "Nerd Pride" revolution of 2003-2004, Jeff King surprised the world by assuming his DMK (Dark Man King) persona for the first NWA track, "NWA Anthem." He has since become widely known for his passionate rapping style (which usually involves yelling himself hoarse over a beat) and powerful, emotional solo songs such as "The Heart's Reality" and "Final Fantasy." Jam Master Jun (Jun Xiang) Originally reluctant to join the group (because he thought he was too cool or something) Jun changed his mind after "NWA Anthem" came out. Making his first appearance on the "Match The Nerds With The Voice" track, Jun brought with him influence from famous mainstream emcees as well as a distinct rapping voice, often considered to be a bridge between DMK's yelling and Blummer's softer style. Aside from writing good hooks, Jun has also been the star of many of the most popular tracks in NWA history. Blummer (Jeremy Blum) JB is one of the originators of the Nerds While AZN concept, the third member of the group, and the resident producer of almost every NWA track (he basically does a lot of stuff). He has become known for his soft yet distinct rapping style which often utilizes multiple bars ending with the same rhyme. As the group producer, Blummer loops instrumentals and edits vocals to create the unique NWA sound. He also maintains the NWA website and has gone on to produce three solo mixtapes of his own: "Gaiden," "Bushido," and "Densetsu." So that's NWA. And yes, we know we aren't the first group to use that acronym--this originally started out as a joke, remember? Anyway, if you didn't know who we were before, now you do.

Lyrics
Nerds While AZN - Antidote (Blummer) started out with cheap mics and MP3s progressed to full-length albums burned onto CDs started out as a joke, a nonsensical scheme evolved to something destined to be akin to a dream three young brothers tryin' to do something real that wasn't based on cash, sex, or automobiles it was ideal, but concealed, we didn't know the ordeal we would experience, surreal, but now revealed this unreal skill so impossible not to feel with every syllable uttered we just try to heal the world with this music, these melodies of life ushering my heart to rest when i sleep at night and i used to feel alone when it was black outside now i swell from those that i stand alongside on this ride called life, we keep our pride with the rhyme state of mind, we'll part the tides like Moses did to the sea, you'll see what we can be a unity manifested oh so incredibly and though some say we sound esoteric in our songs we remain "Illmatic," trinity stands strong the voices are ours, the lyrics always archetypal "It Was Written" that we would be the "Street's Disciples" through the pain and the rain, we've left a lot behind but despite the dark, an antidote ain't hard to find (chorus - Blummer) evening comes, the dawn starts to die the days come and go, it's cold outside thoughts in my mind slowly unwind combined with memories from ties that bind a day has passed, it's dark at last sitting by my window, staring out the glass headphones on my head, feelings remote music is my soul, my antidote (Jam Master Jun) the elixer of life, the effect is herbal we be sick with the mics and perfect the verbal antidote we prescribe in a potion of sound 'cause a track with the nerds helps the medicine go down when we started, i guess i had a "Reasonable Doubt" got lost on a detour on the hip-hop route then Blum and Jeff had a "Blueprint" to guide me and a "Moment of Clarity" exploded inside me it was "Struggle" at first like the struggle at birth but when the labor subsided, all the pain it was worth and the team formed, breakin' every hip hop norm "United" we performed, took the "Nation" by storm music breathed life to thoughts and hopes what we wrote, you can quote, there's no limit in scope yeah we boast, but what matters is we hittin' the notes when the venom hits, we got the antidotes Blummer, Jam Master Jun, Dark Man King pay attention to the skill each of us brings go forth, drink from the healing springs it ain't Red Bull, but it'll give you wings are we all grown up? naw, we're stupid as ever but we're family, so now we're stupid together and precious be they who stick by you forever my brothers for life and they couldn't be better (chorus) (DMK) poison roots itself in society fuming out toxins that we breathe quietly condensed air branded our souls enticed us to believe we were out of control that an image was an image, never to be broken innate characteristics given by those chosen we were just nerdy and Asian and what's more nobody knew why we even "Struggled To The Core" why we didn't "Ride" or "Match Our Voices" when they were "Cheatin'," we didn't make those choices why not? though there "Ain't No Love" "The Heart's Reality" pulled us up and above but then "Unleashed" the "Silent Storm" the eye of the tornado, saw the norm so we tried, tried to "Take You To Church" but wind droned it out, put us back to work we couldn't "Nerd 'Em Up," so it was time to unleash one last attempt, a "Final Fantasy" the strength of a "Warrior," we wielded one blade with one last blow cracked the image astray left behind a message for all to hear despite all the struggles that we may bear the words that you write in song or notes may one day be the world's antidote (chorus x2)
