Brandon Jarrett Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Composer Since he was little boy, Brandon has known what he wanted to do with his life. Make music! And that is exactly what he has done. From touring with his younger brother Jason and performing for thousands of fans across the country, to writing and producing music for other recording artists, Television shows and Movies; Brandon is bringing a fresh new sound to music. His style and image are that of a modern day, Harry Belafonte. With an upbeat, romantic approach and a twist of his Jamaican roots, Brandon’s vocals bring tenderness and passion in his ballads while delivering soaring energy in his uptempo songs. Born in Queens, New York into a music business family, he then moved to Paris, France with his parents. After spending the first year and a half of his life in Paris, Brandon came back to the United States to tour with his parents act, “The Two of Us”. For the next 12 years, Brandon toured with his entertainer parents traveling to every state in the United States mainland and making stops in South America, Canada and Jamaica. Their touring eventually landed the Jarretts in Las Vegas, where Brandon finished High School. After high school, Brandon and his brother Jason followed their own dream of being successful performers like their parents. Soon, the touring began again! Brandon has been the opening concert act for The Association, The Coasters, The Drifters and performed at the 19th Annual Music Industry Pre-Grammy Party. His most recent performance had him opening a concert of 20,000 people for Gospel/R&B star, Yolanda Adams in Trinidad! Brandon has co-starred on the hit television series, “Will and Grace”, “Passions”, “That’s So Raven” and was featured in the Sci-fi blockbuster spoof, “Galaxy Quest”. Brandon’s music has been featured on TLC's Emmy Award winning television show, "A Baby Story." Inspired by a deep need to express the gratitude that I feel for my journey and how amazing life is and how connected we are when we are fully present.
Lyrics
I’m Coming Home Brandon Jarrett / Darryl Retter/ Matt Waldrum © 2007 Verse 1 I have seen the eagle soar the gray blue sky I have seen the wisest man hang down his head and cry I have tried to grab that shining apple from the tree Only to find out that it was never meant for me All my strengths and weaknesses I know are mine to own I choose the road less traveled, and I’m coming home Chorus I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o. I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o. I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o Verse 2 People come and people go, some touch our lives We try to travel on the easy path that’s never right We put importance on possessions and the things we wear And then we realize that life’s about the love we share Trying to let go and live life in the moment zone It’s the greatest dream, I’m coming home Chorus I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o. I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o. I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o Spoken Bridge When I was a little boy and my papa thought I was acting to big for my britches. (Laugh) He would always use this one phrase. “Boy, I don’t know where you is but I know you ain’t were you belong. If you know what’s good for you, You bet’ come home.” (Laugh) “You bet’ come home ‘fore too long.” Chorus I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o. I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o Let it go and what’cha know, let the right ONE run the show You got to empty-out your head, and flow Chorus I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o. I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o I’m on my way; I’m on my way-o Open up your wings and fly, don’t you even question why To old ways you’ll say goodbye and go I’m coming home, I’m coming home, yeah…And now I’m free
