Story behind the song
Thoughts of wakefulness during the predawn hours inspired this song. It can be thought of as a follow-on to Funrunner. It's 3 or 4 AM, all of the parties are winding down and you're on the final leg of your drive, this time destination: home. But maybe there's just one more stop along the way -- perhaps a smoky roadhouse lounge with a jazz band that includes a couple saxophones wailing into the late, late night. Finally, you do make it safely home just as the day breaks -- only to do it all over again the next night....

Hi Spencer, I wanted to see how you are doing, I have been busy with life's non musical stuff but still composing on a much smaller scale, I really have like this song for some time but I wanted to come back and properly rate it. I really love the build up at 454 secs. where the tempo steps up a bit, this track is smooth and upbeat at the same time. 5 stars for sure! Best Regards Leonard Barger

I love the way the drums fade in on this great tune. The electric piano really sound like something John carpenter would use in one of his movies. Great transition with the Tenor Sax and vibes work great together. cool up tempo in the song works well for the great return of tempo to the vary end that fades a way. I love this song!!
