Lyrics
When It Comes To Politics, I Make No Distinction Between 'Right' and 'Wrong' I left ideological politics under my bed many years ago, along with some Crass LPs and a faded Class War t-shirt, and I do try to be pragmatic but I can't help notice how dramatic the gap is between the rich and poor. The one thing I know for sure is true, In politics the right is always wrong and something needs to be done. Sometimes it feels so wrong and sometimes passive opposition isn't quite enough commitment when the worlds falling apart. Yeah, I've heard your criticisms and I must say that I agree that we are too far gone (to save the world) but something needs to be done! We're all hypocrites but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to make a difference. The only way to make a difference is by changing the way you conduct you're own tiny imprint on this massive world. I went through the whole obsession with generic anti-capitalist doctrine and came out the other side after a few years on the edge of mental collapse with a slightly more realistic perspective. Sometimes its easy to feel like your efforts are futile but to me the only way I can make peace with my own mind in this sick fucked up world is by trying to conduct my own life in a manner which seems slightly more authentic and pure. 'Real' revolution may not be within reach but as Billy Bragg said, "revolution is a state of mind" and to me every time we put someone else first, do the unexpected or live just for the beauty of life we are creating a small revolution in our own world and in doing so alter the collective consciousness in a positive way.
