Slide guitar rock song with loads of string layering. Sort of Bluegrass at the start.... Without the real good singing and violins, that goes into heavy rock from the middle of the song.

Just a musician who has played alongside many different folks over the years and I just wanted a place to put up some of the music I've made with them so I can pay my respects. To name a few.... John Rowell (for all the old school garage days that got me to the state I'm playing in today and for inspiring me to play original music. You'll always be a freaking guitar guru in my books. Those days are gone, but not the memories. Russ Shordon (Bass on City Life and countless other songs. Legend on the Bass for the three Themes from Orchard volumes we made together over the years.) Todd Mayhew (for being a righteous mate and brother and for letting me play leads on and recording your beautiful music. Another member of the Chemists and check out his mellow acoustic duo the April Maze.) Steve Mayhew (Vox and Rhythm guitar on Happy Days and gracious member of the Chemists. Unfathomable depth of character and lyrical genius. A faith in my musical ability that keeps me well assured. I'll never cease to enjoy making music with you brother.) Mark Bushnell (a noodling revolution. A guitar freak for all the right reasons. Teaching me the inherit value of scales and quick licks. If you ever need a lead guitarist, this guy shoudn't be overlooked. Here's to some of the moody blues we've pulled out together.) Arlo Enemark (Providing numerous electronic soundscapes for me to noodle over since I met him. Stretching my finger-limits to new electronic horizons. A great sound engineer and a huge passion for music. Possibly one of the brightest sparks I've come across. See Smile on Impact). Incredible respect for you guys, unsung heroes with beautiful souls that shine right through your music. I'm also the lead guitarist for The Chemists. 17 years of playing, jamming and travelling has brought me back to Australia to form our band. Come along and check us out sometime. Electronic radiation hillbilly with a little sci-fi element. www.myspace.com/thechemistsmusik

Story behind the song
All about me moving to Melbourne to join The Chemists.
Lyrics
Once upon a time when the earth was wild A woman gave birth to a pretty child That pretty little woman grew a family tree And from that tree there sprouted me Now come a new moon there's a real dud crop You can bet your ass that that ain't my Pop Cause he worked all his life just to get me here And the day he died I was filled with fear Now the rest of the family's got there sites set high And I wanna be a millionaire the day I die So I dunno if I'm going with the family's plan But my Daddy laid the guitar down in my hands Cause Momma's always worried right around the clock There's a lot of scummy suckers in the world of rock But I'm moving down south just to join the band I'm gonna make it to the moon with my own two hands So I left this little town in a twirl of dust Cause to soothe my soul takes a lot of guts Ah I'll tell you sweet Momma gonna crank some sounds Gonna make you and Daddy real real proud If the family don't like then bless their souls Cos at least I tried before I got old
