A slowish, heavy song, the comparison of the survival in life with an individual lost in the vast ocean.

4-piece band, live in Sydney, Australia. Just playing for the love of music and the enjoyment we get out of playing.
We are a band consisting of 4 people in sydney, australia. Started as group of friends jamming, and then we slowly got into it and made our own songs. Soon we organised performances, tried some home recording (to no success...), but we just doing it for the love of the music! Not quite sure exactly what type of music we play... since everyone has their own tastes... so i just shoved us in 'alternative', but you guys can decide that i guess... Story behind the song
Just made a comparison of life with the large endless seas. And saw each individual as being scattered in it, lost, struggling, but nonetheless fighting to live on and survive. p.s: it was recorded on computer, and near the end, the recording skipped abit so the vocals and backing kinda doesn't match right at the end.. vocal had a cold too, so couldn't produce the quality he wanted. p.p.s : this was our first song where we messed around with metres. The intro and verses go 3/4 for a few bars and we chucked in a 4/4, something different i guess!
Lyrics
Castaway, all alone, slowly I am drowning. Everyday, I'm holding on, so that I don't go down in. Wave after wave, I keep fighting, drifting away, but I keep trying. Every gasp for breath I take, I know there's no room for mistake in this place. Going against the tides of fate, drenched in the tears of those who've already washed away. The sea that I'm in starts darkening. What once seemed to me so clear and blue, is now the dark face of our final view, before we wonder off too deep.
