Story behind the song
Inspired by the bassline of a song by a well-known Blues/Rock artist. The arrangement is sparse in keeping with the subject matter, which reminds one of standing on the corner some Sunday afternoon. Recorded on the 788. Buy the CD!
Lyrics
Well everyday, is like the one before Nothing new, same old thing and more Bet tomorrow's just another bore No excitement, waiting there in store Everyday is like the one before Everyday is like the one before I look around, but nothing's going on Like the circus has pulled up, left and gone I'm hanging out, but I'm the only one Marking time, until the day is done Everyday is like the one before Everyday is like the one before Suffocating in a plastic place So depressing in a plastic race Contemplating with my plastic face Masturbating in a plastic space Here I sit, with nothing new to say Like an actor, trapped inside a play In the sky, it's still that dingy grey Keeps repeating, in that lonely way Everyday is like the one before Everyday is like the one before Well everyday, is like the one before Nothing new, same old thing and more Bet tomorrow's just another bore No excitement, waiting there in store Everyday is like the one before Everyday is like the one before Everyday is like the one before Everyday is like the one before
