Story behind the song
One afternoon as I was upstairs cleaning house I heard Joslyn playing this piece on the piano downstairs. She was 15 and going through a rough time in her life. She often dabbled at the piano composing little pieces and then abandoning them. The piece was absolutley stunning. Her father and I performed weekly at a restaurant and I asked her the name of the piece. In my mind I could hear it on violin with a piano accompanyment. Joslyn asked me, "Do you mean you have never heard this before?" I said, "No, if I had - I would remember it. Why?" "Good!" she said. "Then I've finally composed an original!" We recorded this at WVIA-FM Studio with George Graham. Give it a listen. It's one from the heart - her heart.
