Story behind the song
Blend the producer came to me with this idea...I said what do you see on this track you made it...Blend said "I see mad people on the beach with picked signs mad, upset, I dont know why, you can hear the fire cracklin in the back". This was after the police shot a man rushing his friend to Brookdale hospital in East NEw YOrk from a party when he was shot. The police though he had the gun. Car chase and shot him to death on the corner of New Lots and Wyona right by the 15 bus to Bed Stuy. Itz about what I saw growing up 16 years in East New YOrk. My friends my parents. Its all that hunger we had a youths....starving for food, for money, the hustle. What we lived through...We Hungry.
