its a story of a boy from kabul.. who despite being radio banned in his country tries to break the shackles and one day take a courageous step to listen the radio..
he was discovered by his countrymen listening and was sentenced to death.
now when
we consist of 4:
a guitar, a flute and 3 voices
be natural.. and music will get better and better.
Story behind the song
nothing really..
just had an idea.. that radio was banned in afghanistan.. that all.
Lyrics
its a kaleidoscope picture, of an unforgiven lad
who never heard a song, or never heard a rap.
but he was never like all those hapless chaps.
who were even scared to play that black old magic box.
coz he was boys from kabul
you know! one fine day a brave lad, broke a trunk,
as it was hidden like a bomb or a gun,
and there he found that, that black magic box.
he was surprised as he found some treasure or what!
he tried to play it but the signal was'nt in the air
but he didnt still give up,
went to the roof top, like a thirsty nomad
and the moment he felt it useless,
he heard a ziggering noise,
its just a usual habit of those black magic box
as the voice got cleared,
he heard a song which said,
'its time for freedom' [3 times]
Kabul's free today, but the boy's no more
he got the punishment for playing the radio
O' it was forbidden, cause it was a radio
which open their eyes
n said they were burning at the devil's pot
tears in eyes and everybody sings
boy from Kabul
who played us the radio
'its time for freedom' [3 times]
(its freedom time, n air is clear, n no more fear, n no more fight) [chorus]
Great story... and a passionate composition...I am amazed
