Michael Shields and a close friend met in high school.Both boys were into hip-hop and shortly there after formed a group known as "AKA".The name of the group was devrived from the group members.Shields, known as "Ambitiouz" and other members "Kreative" and "Authentik". Word spread quickly about this up and coming group and with their four track demo, the right person heard and liked the group, getting them on the right path. This person set the group up to open for "Young Buck" of "G-unit", in a bar in Johnson City,Tn. To make a long story short , Young Buck wasn't able to make the show due to his attendance at the Vibe Awards. It was shortly after this that Shields and the group split up due to creative differences pushing him into a solo career. After going his own way, Shields went into some heavy writing. He has some excellent material and has been known to write the lyrics and finish an entire song in one hour. Another close friend and one of the founders of "Leave it real" ask Shields to join up with their group. Shields declined the offer due to still having his heart set on a solo career. He did however collab with "Leave it real" and was featured on several tracks off their albums , which in turn helped him out in the long run. Shields, While visiting his grandmother in Detroit Mich. met up with a studio owner/producer. Soon after Shields found himself displaying his talent infront of a packed studio of harsh unsigned Detroit rappers. After twenty six bars Shields gained their respect , and will now be working with the studio owner/producer on his up and coming album. Now gaining the respect and say so of everyone who has worked with him , or is a fan of his , Shields hit the studio as a solo artist working on his first album. With tracks such as " They Already Know" and many more, Shields hopes to make a big impact in the Hip-Hop world.
