Story behind the song
Helios is the young Greek god of the sun. Each morning at dawn he rises from the ocean in the east and rides in his chariot, pulled by four horses.
Lyrics
Dreams awake inside of me I’m alone at dawn Day break close the night, Who weary stretched out so long. Now rise the sun beyond the hills Who shrouds us in his light Beyond the night Were all so bright Alone at dawn Beating drums to sing a swan swan song For nights demise Until the eternal revolution of Days last cause Now night shreds us With her ravens claws Ahead blue day Above bright Alone at best In suns light Beyond the day lies nights Bemus able cloud Screeching and groaning Monstrously loud Day breaks the night into a thousand glittering rays Burning the street and melting the snow On the side walk of my sole. Vagabond is the Sun Wondering from place to place With no means of support Who supports the sun? Who supports us all? Who in wondering daylight dose watch As Suns backdrop does move From one end to another At morning at dawn awake When weary at night sleep Though Suns star dose shine Past our own night into days of others. Who so far away from us are they When for us its night To them its day When our children sleep There children Run and jump and dance and play. Who reads of night reads of day Eternal eternal eternal Onward moving Always taking place In one place or another That witch we vainly think comes and goes is always present stationed at a star We are the ones Who wonder Who walk Who come Who go We orbit the Sun Lonely the Sun Stationed beyond Other inhabitable planets we call rocks We blame the sun for leaving us
