Story behind the song
I wrote this tune at the end of Bush's first term, which as anyone thought, would be his last. It's a song about true american freedom, and it also touches on how we have let our integrity slide. It uses the example of one of our country's smallest states, and if used correctly, could effectively change the trends and liberties of our nation.
Lyrics
If I were the king or the governor of delaware, it'd be through. I'd pass the bowl of the fruit we call hemp and then all is cool. i'd make the value of land the state limits and live off the bread that all other states give us. I'd tell the truth about what you call government, bought through. The interest of men are in paper dead presidents, so stand mute. long past the day weigh one inevitably true, controls what is legal, forbids us to chose. Times claim professors nor scholars will due, but god help the governor, god bless the governor.
