Story behind the song
1/10/2007 I wanted to arrange a musical piece representing "Beauty and the Beast" Both Beauty (The Belle) and Beast (The Monster) are respresented through the sound and "emotion" of the song. The harsh drum and bass aspect, coupled with a raving lunatic in the background, represent the Monster. And every so often, a melodic line signifies the Belle. The song signifies the relationship with one another... to see them as individuals and as a couple. One is pretty, the other is edgy and somewhat scary. The song is definitely in the noise/drum and bass category... with it's ferocious lines and melodies, together with the soothing theme supplied by the woodwinds and stringed instruments. It's a head trip, and should be taken as another form of diversity within my growing library. Some poeple are into this kind of music, and some aren't. If you like groups such as The Venetian Snares, definitely give this song a good hearing. It's got a lot of notes, beats, and effects to whet your pallate. Enjoy!
