I wrote this on an old Harmony arch top guitar after one of the strings broke. I did a semi-open tuning and was noodling around and came up with the intro chords. As with most of my compositions, the words came much later and inspired the pre-chorus bridge and then the chorus. I've actually modified the lyrics to some extent since it this recording, done on a Yamaha 4 track tape machine in an apartment bedroom, but haven't re-recorded it. The song is ca. 1989
