First song for 2007! I'm creating a series of works during my lunch break. Having a bad day today, so the mood is dark and flowing with this piece.

Experimental fractal music
Creating audio is as simple as drawing a line through a fractal image. Anyone can do it! This line determines the notes as well as the duration of each note, depending upon the length of each segment of color that it intersects. These audio files have influences from diverse sources in the avant-garde world. Scales used may sound unusual to some listeners and the range of bent notes can contribute to a mysterious sound. I tend to call these works 'sound', rather than 'music'. They're not popular and not things that one would listen to more than once, unfortunately.

Story behind the song
The drums are unusual in that they don't come in until the second half of the music: during the first half, a lone cymbal repeats a single note slowly. Four pianos create the brooding undertone.
Lyrics
Lunch Break 03: "Freeform" Work is a necessary evil. With it, I am frustrated and active. Without it, I am complacent. Looking obliquely, I see grains of salt on the boardwalk and bright and muddy reflections of the melting snow. Water from Weisman drips onto my head. Pizza and composition for lunch.
