Story behind the song

The last song we wrote and recorded for hi-fi new Christmas.

Lyrics

my sweater is green and red
it is made of woven yarn and thread
some are red some are green
but mine is somewhere in between

We got it for five dollars
at a yard sale down the street
it looks nice at Christmas parties
but smells like hay and feet
I take it out December first
and wear it for a while
but after Christmas when I do
it really cramps my style

so away in a big brown box is goes
away until next December
until again it joins my other clothes
my favorite Christmas sweater

a stitch of Santa's workshop
filled with little elves
for good little boys a spinning top
and good little girls get dress-up dolls
he stands there ho ho hoing
with a glass of milk in hand
outside the window it is snowing
and everyone dances to an elven band

so if I forget the time of year
it helps me to remember
Christmas time is finally here
my favorite Christmas sweater
