*** ABOUT THE SONG***
uhm O K ,with guitar man, one day, about a month ago, john said to me "bob you know my friend richard M., right?"and I said "oh Ya ! I’ve met him ,a great guy" so then he said," well richard got LAYED OFF." " so then I said "THAT SUCKS" but then john said ,"ahh, it’s o k he got another job, but they’re starting him at the bottom. And he’s feeling ,'the lose of income.' So I’m trying to get him some studio work. and I feel he could really add a lot to one of your demo'.'" then I said "yes, but could I affrord him?"and john said, "Well,O K, richard would just come in and put down some incredible guitar to the song for,well, I don’t know, how’s twentyfive bucks sound?"so I said great!?! do you think we could get him in here for our next session?" and john said ,":he’ll be here" .so as we were waiting for the c d to burn, I wrote down , ‘guitar for hire’ and’ have guitar will travel’ on the back of this highway lyric l’and I walked out of there five minutes latter thinking about this character that was forming in my thoughts ‘guitar man’ and the next session we demoed ‘guitar man.
