Bands start for many reasons: girls, drugs, free booze. Subjective Well Being merely wanted Pop Tarts.
Hi. We were Subjective Well Being, a three piece rock band from Hot Springs Village, AR. Even though we are no longer active, we are leaving this page up so that if anyone ever come across these tunes, they can still take a listen. We still check back here every once and awhile, so leave us a comment or a note and tell us what you think. Thanks for ten years of rock and roll!

Story behind the song
When I first came up with the main riff of this song it was a waltz. Why? Because we had never had a waltz song. It was crap, in all honesty. One day I was getting frustrated, as I am privy to do, and just strummed the chords and it sounded a little bit like the Smiths. I love the Smiths, so I decided to keep it that way. We jammed it as a band and after a few go through's we had the song and the arrangement you hear here. There was a breakdown that needed a guitar solo, and to go with my basic frustrated routine, I just beat the crap out of the guitar and made noise. It works. Lyrically, Russ and I were on seperate wavelengths here I think. But I like that they make little sense together. RUSS: I don't like people, but the music is funky.
Lyrics
Is this what we've become Dead voices on the radio My transmission comes out static Voice cracks in time with my spine Your face flickers in and out I opened myself up to you Only to expose existing wounds CHORUS Never before Never again I'm worn tired Cracked to my skin And if you think what I say Is remotely the truth Know now That like these dreams It was make believe too It seems you're just as pretty as ever Once we were brothers Good evening to all my fake old friends Oh F*** ! Here it comes again A message from the dead reads: "Things are pretty much the same" My greeting card to the recently aborted signed: "You aren't missing much" Ben: Guitars, Vocals/// Russ: Bass, Vocals/// Taylor: Drums
