This is about a soldier that finds peace and comfort in thinking about the one he loves and gets to that place every time he falls asleep.

I write all kinds of music from gospel to country, comedy to childrens songs as well as instrumentals. I play guitar (acoustic and lead) and sing with a count
I was born in the mid 1950's, and began playing guitar when I was 14 years old. I have played with many of the early (70's & 80's)country singers. I wrote my first song when I was 15 and now have over 120, from gospel to country. I love the challenge of writing a song that people can relate to, yet to say it in a brand new way. I play with a local group called Common Bond and jam whenever I can find some others pickers.

Story behind the song
This song is about a soldier who misses the one he loves so much, that the only way he can get through the lonliness is to take memory trips and recall all the wonderful times they had together.
Lyrics
1 Right about now, we'd be sitting on the back-porch, Listening to the crickets, and watching that lazy ole moon. Right about now, you'd have your head there on my shoulder, Telling me how you'd spent your afternoon. Right about now, I'd smile and say, "you are so beautiful", Then I'd kiss your soft sweet lips and hold you tight. Right about now we'd feel like we could skip across those stars, I can feel the beatin' of your heart, Right about now. Chorus But here I am what seem like a million miles away, And right now I sure am missing you today. So I'll lay down on my bunk again, and dream I'm in your arms, Where I'll feel safe from harm, Right about now. 2. Right about now, we'd be parked there at the drive-in, We couldn't tell you what was playing on that screen. Right about now, you'd be throwing popcorn at me, In your silly little mood, laughing at everything. Right about now, you'd say "can we get away from here, Cause honey, I've got something else in mind" Right about now we've never felt a love as strong as this, and I'm lost in your kiss, Right about now.
