Because melody matters
I used to be in a band called The Treblemakers from 1997 to 2000, playing surf music mostly on the local scene in Montreal. Out of this came 2 CD's. The first one was called Flippin The Bird and was released on the german label Gee-Dee. The second album was called The Doomsday Device and was released on Dionysus Records. Since I mostly wrote instumentals with my old band, writing lyrics is just a natural progression. So I just have a go at it when inspiration strikes me.

Story behind the song
Having played in a surf band for 3 years, it was time I took the plunge in the wonderful world of vocals. Just remember: Don't shoot the messenger! P.S. I come from the same land as Celine Dion, so don't freak out at the accent :)
Lyrics
The Children Cried (But You Didn't) ----------------------------------- Verse 1 You slammed the door so hard The walls complained, and bled plaster The dog went mad, my heart got broke Tears fell from blue eyes of daughters Verse 2 Even If I told you I was wrong Nothing could change what I have done She had the touch, a different stroke But it's you the mother of our son Chorus When you left suitcase in hand The children cried, but you didn't I looked in your eyes, and I just knew I would never be forgiven Verse 3 I've been lonely since you've gone The house is bare, of kids laughter I wish you'd return, my life's up in smoke I won't say the same of your lawyer Repeat Chorus (x2)
