God is everywhere you look, if you don't forget.

I write all kinds of music from gospel to country, comedy to childrens songs as well as instrumentals. I play guitar (acoustic and lead) and sing with a count
I was born in the mid 1950's, and began playing guitar when I was 14 years old. I have played with many of the early (70's & 80's)country singers. I wrote my first song when I was 15 and now have over 120, from gospel to country. I love the challenge of writing a song that people can relate to, yet to say it in a brand new way. I play with a local group called Common Bond and jam whenever I can find some others pickers.

Story behind the song
I woke up one morning thinking about how magnificient God is and how we can see Him in everything if we just take the time to look.
Lyrics
I crawl outta bed and open my window and smell the lilac floating on a breeze, There's a red-bird sitting on a rose bush, The sun is peeking through the trees. The flowers and the grass look so clean washed by the morning dew, I sit down at the table and open my bible and start my day by talking to You. Chorus Good morning God, it's good to see you again, Everywhere I look I see Your handiwork, Painted by the Master's hand. Good morning God, thanks for letting me see, This world is full of miracles and they were put here just for me. Then my little boy in his red pajamas, crawls up in my lap, Throws his little arms around me and says I love you dad. My wife sits down beside me and kisses me on the cheek, Says I love you guys, then I realize how much You're blessing me. Lyrics and music: Doug York (c) 2006
