Tempest (Sails of Pride)

An unplugged arrangement with accoustic guitar & vocals only at this time. The guitar work sets-up a mental picture of being present in a storm at sea. A further developed arrangement should be ready by mid 2007

Story behind the song
A nautical Metaphor about someone setting out in the wrong direction (out to sea in this case); the inevitable consequences when the storms hit, and the only way back to shore (God's grace).
Lyrics
Verse 1 You set course on the ocean, and deny there’ll be cost. But when fear grief or anger, have you tempest tossed. Chorus 1 Will your ship ride through the storms? Will those sails of pride be torn? Verse 2 You say you’ll steer clear of the scars you detest. But will you be marked and humbled, when put to the test? Verse 3 Now you’re cold bruised and battered, and you’re down on your knees. Seems you can’t sail on your own on such tempest tossed seas. Verse 4 Some have to be broken before they come to know. Where the Lord isn’t leading, is a place not to go. Chorus 2 But He can guide you past the storms. And He can lead you back to shore.
