I usually try and write a Christmas song each year since I began writing music.

It’s not the lights that twinkle 
Upon the Christmas tree.
It’s not the bells or holly, 
Or hanging up a wreath.
It’s not that joyful feeling, 
When you’re decking up the halls
It’s not the toys or gifts,  
Or even Santa Claus

Joy to the world we’re singing
To celebrate the Saviors birth.
Joy to the world and 
peace on earth

It’s not the happy greetings 
Or meetings of good cheer.
Or the smiles on peoples faces, 
They get this time of year.
It’s not the children’s laughter 
Or the songs we love to sing.
It’s a wondrous gift from heaven 
And blessings that he brings.
