Story behind the song
This is the title track of our CD "Prisoner Of The Blues." The whole concept of the CD was based around the idea of so many people being trapped by the daily grind with no apparent way out. Interestly enough, that led to the title and this composition, "Prisoner Of The Blues."
Lyrics
There must be another path to take Hangin`out here is a mistake I’ve got to make my way clear I’ve got to slip on out of here I can’t take any more.............. Locked behind this jailer’s door Night after night I spend alone I’m like a man without a home My smile is turning into tears My days are turning into years I can’t take any more.............. Locked behind this jailer’s door I’m just a prisoner.................... Prisoner of the Blues I’m just a prisoner.................... Prisoner of the Blues I long to be free for heaven sake God knows how much more I can take My smile is turning into tears My days are turning into years I’m just a prisoner.................... Prisoner of the Blues I’m just a prisoner.................... Prisoner of the Blues
