Distrust in The Law

It started as a funk blow, with several first-takes of guitar at 2.00 am. Things got out of hand..
Rock, funk and jazz based instrumental demos. Grooves and licks with loud and soft guitars.
This isn't a band; it's mostly some 2.00am recording in the lounge room. I've got a Zoom MRS-1608 recorder, a guitar lead, a 70's $100 Strat copy, and a '66 Gibson 335. No amps were harmed (or used) during the making of these recordings. They're all faked. Ditto, no drums. Just the in-built rhythm box. So far, none of the tracks have been properly written or arranged, largely due to impatience! I've tend to bash them down (usually late at night) for the fun of playing along with a band (even though it's mostly me, or a sequencer). Go figure.

Story behind the song
My first experiment with the 1608 drum and bass machines, which I threw some (largely unplanned) chords over. Default 1608 drum kit as I didn't know how to access the other (better) drum kits at the time. Bounced three 1608 bass sequences together for fun. Kept changing the Guitar effects so it got louder and nastier. Used my 70's $100 Strat copy for all guitars. All guitars through 1608 effects, no amplifier. Bongos are the sound of me slapping a small acoustic guitar, sampled and seq'd. The mix is as rough as the arrangment and playing. It's all done on the 1608, without any PC mixing or mastering. One day I'll sort out the bits, mute the extraneous stuff, change the drum sound and add some decent reverb. Or maybe I'll start again, do an arrangement, play it properly, record it like I oughta. Sob.
