your plans have crossed the line. this time, boundaries you strayed outweighed the consequence. it's not for lack of trying, but i'm confused by what once made such perfect sense. i meant everything i said at the time. warning signs went right over my head. we were misguided and misled, so sink the boat or stay afloat; head for the coast or drown instead. your honesty's the bow; it's broken, but we're hoping the distress call's going through. in the dark till now, i'm finding out that what was always "wrong with me" was always you. i'm questioning the truth i thought i told. paint the sky in black and gold; make it up, press your luck, the colors never seemed this bold. throw down the cards that you were sold. it seems hard but with these cards, i was always meant to fold. this is beginning to feel like a hand around my neck. we try and we try and we try and we try but we can't seem to connect, so we break apart like pieces of an old abandoned wreck.
