Alex P was born in El Salvador on February 21, 1988. Alex came into this country when he was 6 years old, he grew up in Alexandria, VA (The Highway). As of the age of 10 he started writing poetry about the things he saw in his neighborhood and the surrounding communities. When he turned 15 his parents moved to Woodbridge, VA; they didn't want thier son growing up with bad influences. At that age his parents started reading his poetry and tried to make him stop because of the content in the poetry. They did not see any future in his writings or in his growing interest in Rap, and Reggaeton. He worked hard to build his own little studio set up in his house, with the help of his parents; even though it wasn't of their liking they new that was the only way of keeping him from bad influences. He started working with a producer named Sabio who he gives alot of credit for helping grow more in a lyrical sense. Later he left Sabio label in pursuit to expand with his music. Alex P is now part of a crew called D.B.E where he is working along side Thermo the CEO and the producer and together with the rest of the artists are looking forward to expand even more. Alex P is one of the few latino artists who rarely writes his lyrics he has grown and seen so much threwout his life that he is able to put words together in a complex form (freestyle). Rarely does he write his lyrics but when he does you get to hear his consistency with his flow. He has gotten in many performances around the D.C, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) that he has his credibility. He has collab with many local artists and is ready for more collaborations no matter where your at he will make it happen.
