Story behind the song
I asked Dawn for some lyrics and she sent me these , I did not Know who Travellers are . They are a group of people that travel and live in caravans , living on the edge of society, not paying taxes, not criminals really, living day to day on what little they can make.
Lyrics
The Traveller's Way ( DAWN SINCLAIR ) They travel from place to place their kids and dogs in tow and you might see the legacy they leave when they go But were they once made homeless by circumstances dire are their services for hire? Chorus: It's easy saying they have chosen the road that suits them best It's easy saying you'd be different better than the rest But try to walk in their shoes be a nomad every day and then decide if you'd be happy to take the Traveler's Way Some may offer to relieve you of the coat from your backs and when they leave beneath the moon you'll never find warm tracks should we call them Gypsies Should we use the same tar brush with insensitivity? Chorus : It's easy saying they have chosen the road that suits them best It's easy saying you'd be different --better than the rest But try to walk in their shoes be a nomad every day and then decide if you'd be happy to take the Traveler's Way But try to walk in their shoes upon the Traveler's Way. Chorus : ( it’s easy saying…. ) Judging others is simple It's something we all do But try to look at them just one time imagine they are you Yeah try to walk in their shoes the Traveler's Way.
