Genre Peak :Electronic based guitar band utilizing drum samplers, loops, melancholy vocals and heavily layered song arrangements.
Genre Peak is an avant electro-pop/rock project founded by Martin Birke in 2005. In 2006 Daniel Panasenko and Stephen Sullivan joined to form Genre Peak into a performance based trio. We incorporate electronica and sampling elements into a modern rock style but also venture into abstract industrial soundscapes and trance enviornments. Metaphorical lyrics are inspired by want, loss , passion and pain.

Lyrics
Lyrics by Martin Birke Just beneath the surface I am crawling slowly Just to see some purpose to drop the faith that I've been holding Did you want me to believe in something other than these words , that say so much and still me nothing Just behind my eyes, just beneath my skin Just behind my words The truth - my life - stays well hid I am walking backwards, up against this wall agian I am torn to pieces, instead of rising up I fall again And no ones here to lend a helping hand This time the line is drawn against me 'cause I won't ask I'll just demand Just behind my eyes, just beneath my skin Just behind my love The hope - in me - begins to live Just behind my eyes Just beneath my skin
