I actually listened to this song before, and liked it quite a bit the first time around. I’ll need to check my archives…. But anyway, this is the type of song that spotlights Silke’s voice. And when she sings the harmony accompaniment to her own lead, I find it kinda special. She has a touch of Carole King meets Carly Simon in her vocals. But make no mistake, it’s all her own. The spoken vocals by Michel Redon (in French dialogue) was a nice touch’ But I especially enjoy the piano styling on this composition (more specifically the jazz refrain from 2:37, and lasting until 3:17, that is like that little dash of seasoning that makes the meal more memorable).
