A refreshing mix of ultra cheesy pop rock and disturbingly dark social comentary.
I'm a Guitarist/Songwriter/Reluctant singer who plays an odd mix of pop hard rock, blues, and some other stuff, while sometimes veering insanely into anti establishment satiracal metal, techno and/or country. I used to be in a local Boston band called Aesthetik that played all over New England in the mid to late 90's. Story behind the song
I recorded most of this song in 2001, the rest in 2003. This has one of my all time favorite guitar solo's, yes it's accoustic. As for the meaning, well... it's about depression I guess. Still... a cool tune. As for the title, dark subway song was the working title for years and well... I just always refer to it as that.

The clouds know the mood a little too well sometimes gray seems to be the theme of the sky today the clock at the corner bank reads 28 degrees I think I saw a snowflake, but I guess the snow is apathetic too Switched Trains downtown, and headed down the stairs. I hope there's the guy who plays his guitar, I'm in the mood just watch him play. maybe today's the day I just sit and watch him play. Meloncoly tunes, that speak to my mood today. but he's not there, the day after x-mas. What is that sound, it's ringin in my ears.
