a dilettante: acoustic, electric, alternative rock, subliminal, political, mindless schlock, underground, hate, love suicide, republican, debate, my inner child
Formed spontaneously in 1995 with the composition of the now classic "Hall's Way." Throughout the years, the band has produced such diverse cult hits as "J.C. (Jesus Commercialization)" and "Grey Idol" but the level of relative crappiness has remained the same. Come for the teen angst ("Garage Number 74"), stay for the heavy-handed political messages ("Jenna").

Lyrics
Jenna was born on a bright sunny day with a storm coming in and her mother was sore And soon she went home with her mother and also a father who had not been the same since the war And she went to school with the holes in her clothes and she looked around and realized she was poor And when she raised her hand to speak up in class the teacher looked away and chose to ignore Life can be unfair When we're taught to believe that if we want to achieve we'll get there But they don't teach us it's hard to finish in first place And we're never told that some kids get a head start in the race Jenna worked hard and she made it to high school where the books that were used were from decades before And looking to college she signed up for tests that made her the victim of a cultural war So she started out in a community college which wasn't as hard as the high school before And when she met a man who proposed, she accepted, she couldn't see he'd cheat and it would end in divorce Life can be unfair When the people believe that if we want to achieve we'll get there And we believe what society tells us is true And blame ourselves when we fail but we've done all we can do And Jenna, alone, turned to the streets where she tried her hardest to even the score But despite her efforts, Jenna was failing and many around her saw what was in store And Jenna got old and had babies and they grew up and they killed people and Jenna worked as a whore And Jenna got AIDS and the fathers were missing and no one would use her for what she thought she was for Life can be unfair When our leader believes that if we want to achieve we'll get there And he tells to get good jobs with insurance and high pay While he's signing treaties that make good jobs go away Jenna died on a cold winter night with a storm moving out from the New Jersey shore And on the TV from her hospital bed she watched new politicians still blaming the poor While the rich in their houses just four miles away sat 'round warm kitchen tables with food heaped on plates And the kids planned for college, like plans Jenna had made but their locations in society shielded them from Jenna's fate
