While past collections of the work produced by Rosseric Dimitri Maltovinski have wokred to show a prowess with various instruments and styles, lately Dimitri has decided to go with a much more basic fell for his sound. "My latest collection I am working for is called 'To Herbie Hancock and my Father'. I was inspired for these songs after I found an old Yamaha PSR-75 my father bought me in my youth. It was quite a wonderful gift, though many high nosed people might think it a silly instrument. While I had studied piano as a child and on, it was this analog sampled keyboard that I fell in love with in my adolecence. I therefore decided to make an albumn dedicated to my father, this cheep keyboard, and one of the musicians that influenced me most in my youth and adolesence. My hope is that this albumn will be worthy of all three. The equipment I am using on this albumn, including the recording device, cost less than $200.00 (US currency). I have tried to give a playfull feeling and a bit of life, despite the constant mechanical feel that comes out of the machines.
