Lyrics
Delightful and cheeky, this Prokofiev-inspired piece was written for my brother’s science project, a cartoon on cells. The animation hadn’t been done yet, so I wrote it for keyboard according to my visual impression of little gloopy cells rapidly splitting and multiplying. Subsequently, I arranged it for trio. The spritely opening theme gives way to a more graceful section, which soon turns slightly savage and brings us back to the return.
