I wrote this song for my Dad, and because I've always wanted to do an a cappella song. I got the idea for the chorus from the back of a matchbook. It's a pretty good choice for ending an album, live shows, etc.

Pop rock music with melodic sensibilities and big memorable choruses!
Here's the deal; I write these songs, then I record them, then I ask people to listen to them. I've been playing music for durn near 40 years, and learned to play an instrument about 20 years ago. During the late 80's and through the 90's I played in a few cover bands in northern Michigan. Cover-Up, Rock Candy, Jet Plane Jane, Listen Mister, Chill Street. I got exposed to playing a wide variety of songs and styles, which I think helps my writing a little bit now. I record my music in my quite modest home studio which I have dubbed "Rocket Studio". It looks like a studio, because I have a few racks full of impressive audio gear, although I don't use any of it for recording. Most of the songs are all recorded, mixed, and mastered in the box (that means on the computer), with the only input being a couple of guitars, and a condenser microphone. Anyhow, I hope you like these songs (when I actually post them here in a little while.)

Lyrics
The night is growing old and the morning's drawing near you don't have to go home but you can't stay here. We do appreciate you and we're proud to call you friends. Thanks to all who came, please come again. Now we've shared some good times the memories will last up until the next time we cross each others path. We do appreciate you, and we're proud to call you friends. Thanks to all who came, please come again. We're not the kind to agonize over complicated long goodbye's It's enough for us to end our day to humbly turn to you and say; We do appreciate you, and we're proud to call you friends. Thanks to all who came, please come again.
