Hooked up with a fiery passion for music, iloveyouruby, one of the hottest bands in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, gradually ignited its entrance to the world of songs in 2004. With Allen Montejo on vocals and lyrics, Israel Cruz on lead guitar, Donald delos Reyes on bass guitar, Elshan Sabuero on percussion who was replaced then by Mark Balmonte, and Joy Soriano on rhythm, everything set out with the idea of producing songs in pop-alternative genre to quench their unceasing thirst for music. These highschool batchmates, essentially drawn together by their genuine love for music made their collection of songs which included Kung Kulang Pa, Halika, Dahilan, Maybe Now, Ectopic, Paalam, Ilusyunado, Paraiso and Never be the same. Recently, the band compiled their songs forming their album Istoryang Ticag, (flirt stories) a collection of different stories of love. Two of these songs (Ilusyunado and Dahilan) ranked on top in a local radio station in Palawan. Iloveyouruby got its name from the ultimate crush of their lead guitarist named Ruby. Though he never had the chance to see and talk to the girl, with her face only self-painted on his mind as his friends described her features, his undying admiration for her persisted through time. Currently, iloveyouruby continues to smear the joy of their music. Nonstop. Unhampered.
