Singer/songwriter, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, and recording engineer. Record releases by IRL Records & Otter River Records.
I currently perform as a solo artist and singer/songwriter. All of my recordings were recorded, mixed, and produced from start to finish in my home studio. My original songs are somewhat eclectic but I would generally categorize them as a fusion of rock, blues, folk/country, funk, and jazz.

Story behind the song
Written in 2008 and recorded in 2013. Here is an expression of the human condition - a human being's happiness (life condition) is constantly being effected from both within and without. Whether any threat is real or merely perceived, the effect can still be substantial unless one's experiences are viewed through an enlightened and aware mind. Its really all about being proactive, and not accepting being victimized by anyone, especially yourself.
Lyrics
Verse 1 Grew up in the cold war - atomic bombs aimed at my head Heard the propaganda the brain dead had been fed In the event of a doomsday blast get under your school desk Don’t you worry ‘bout the fallout boy, your Uncle Sam knows best Verse 2 Spent time fighting demons, dodging words aimed at my head Hung out with a bad crowd, just wishing I was dead In the event of a breakdown, there’s no miracle pill The battle is lost or the battle is won, it’s all a matter of will Chorus Now I’m learning to live, I’m learning to give I’m learning to think on my own I’m feeling what’s right and feeling what’s wrong I feel I can face the world alone But most importantly I’m learning to stay free Now that I can see Verse 3 Grew up in a small town where prejudice was king Devils with a coward’s heart, masquerading closet queens In the event that the Klu Klux Klan came calling in the night Those nigers, fags, and hippies caught hell by firelight Verse4 Spent time with a woman, oh she was good in bed But I didn’t need a lover always messin’ ‘round with my head In the event of getting lost in love, I became to blind to see Frozen in fear and out of control, and dying in reality Repeat Chorus X2
