Jamie Lynch (on bass) came to the studio one day with a rather odd bass line that was just perfect for the newly penned song SLOW DOWN. The complicated harmonics and ludicrous timing of the phrase were perfect for my concept of sitting this song on a heart beat rhythm. The song is dedicated to my partner John Clark (drums) who ironically doesn't play on the track but had a devil of a job mixing it.
