Melodic Catalan Rock Band
Pere Flipat were a band playing Melodic Rock in the boom period of Catalan Rock (1987- 1993). We sang in English, Catalan & Spanish. We made an album in 1991 that was moderately succesful, but lack of promotion and direction led to schisms in the band and we split up. However, we are all still very proud of the music we made back then and that is why we want to make it available to a new generation of "Flippies" - as our fans were known. Sadly, a reunion of the original band is now impossible because Tony, our Saxophonist, was killed in a car accident a few years back.

Lyrics
Nineveh Jonah bust in the door and damned his sister to hell, He put his hand to his face and gasped out. “God what a smell!” He found her under the table, where she had been for a week, There was nothing in those ant-filled eyes, That spoke of peaceful sleep. She’d got in with some guy, the whisper said he was rich. He’d got a habit, of course, and passed it on to the bitch. Jonah dragged out the body, right into the street, Crying, “Crawl out of your holes you worms, Got you a vision sweet!” As a crowd gathered round, Jonah started to laugh. Someone dropped to their knees, to get the best photograph. “I don’t know him from Adam!” a neighbour exclaimed. “You got the right book”, Jonah said, “But you got the wrong name!” A woman took off her coat and threw it over the face, Leaving the tracks on her arm easy for Jonah to trace. He glanced at what had been his sister in her makeshift veil, In the belly of the silence, He heard the siren’s wail.
