Church of Praise is a Christ-centered, biblically grounded church, committed to sharing God’s love by bringing people into His family and membership in the church, discipling them to be like Christ and equipped for the mission of serving the community through their passionate worship to God. It is a church that also believes in the power of prayer; to have a deep desire to not just know about God, but to know God and to experience Him in their lives daily and personally. . 'You Are My God' is the Church of Praise’s Creative Arts Team second release following their debut album 'In Your Presence'. All 10 songs in this album are composed by their own church members. The songs reflect their heart and passion to celebrate God’s greatness and majesty. Songs like "Lord You Are Worthy" and "You Are My God" are congregational worship songs that will inspire you to adore the Almighty God. “Whom Have I in Heaven”, a popular song in the church, is a personal psalmist song suitable for daily devotions. The album also has songs with modern genres written by a younger generation of songwriters such as “Live For You”, “Everything To Me” and “I Couldn't Find Another Word”. Young people can easily relate to these songs. PROFILE OF SONG WRITERS Ricky Sim Married with a blessed wife, Wendy and two teenage sons Benjamin & Timothy. All were involved in the 'You Are My God' Album; Wendy as a singer, Benjamin - as a saxophonist and Timothy as a songwriter & singer. Ricky is an Elder, Worship Advisor and Worship Leader in Church of Praise. He has been writing songs since 1995, and some of his songs were released in the first album 'In Your Presence'. He is also has a passionate ministry promoting a Lifestyle of Worship Blog http://thepraiseandworshipconnection.blogspot.com that is establishing a growing network internationally. Eeleen Lin Eeleen has been writing songs since early 2000 and this is her first recorded debut in the 'You Are My God' Album. She is a graduate from the National University of Singapore and is presently full-time with ForeRunner, the music ministry of Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ. In Church of Praise she is a leader in the Youth Ministry and also a worship leader in the church Sunday worship services. Timothy Sim Timothy is a student studying Mass Communication in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He started writing songs in the year 2005. He is active in the Youth Ministry serving as a singer and musician (plays the acoustic guitar)
