Singer/songwriter, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, and recording engineer. Record releases by IRL Records & Otter River Records.
I currently perform as a solo artist and singer/songwriter. All of my recordings were recorded, mixed, and produced from start to finish in my home studio. My original songs are somewhat eclectic but I would generally categorize them as a fusion of rock, blues, folk/country, funk, and jazz.

Story behind the song
Completely true story about my Mom & Dad's budding romance and family in depression era rural East Texas. Lyrics are based on stories told by my mother about her and my father's romance as they grew up and got married. They honeymooned as guests of my grandfather and his mistress!
Lyrics
VERSE 1 Just south of Tyler in the east of the state Down in Troup Texas, Ruby’s fate await Her family of eleven – living in the Great Depression And Ruby thought of Joe, instead of her school lessons Joe’s Pa had a good farm, cars and cash and land But her Ma didn’t like him, took Ruby by the hand Said, “Heard Joe’s daddy has a mistress in town But Ruby didn’t care, as long as Joe came around BRIDGE She heard, “I love you, I need your touch, You give me your all and, I love you so much! You’re so precious!” CHORUS Ruby, Ruby – shining deep and dark Hey Joe, they all know Ruby won your heart VERSE 2 She told Joe, “If you want me, ask Ma for my hand I can’t just live with you, I know you understand “Ruby if you’ll marry me, I’ll ask her right away You know how much I love you girl, let’s get married today REPEAT BRIDGE AND CHORUS VERSE 3 Joe’s Pa & his mistress, O.W. & Ruby Lee Asked Joe & Ruby where they’d like to be “Let’s go to Dallas, it’s a honeymooner’s delight!” They drove and found a hotel, then checked in as the “Knights” REPEAT BRIDGE & CHORUS
